LifeSense I8 Blood Pressure

Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor how to use?

Follow the monitor's instructions to perform the initial setup of the unit. This will involve setting the time, date, and other basic settings.

Avoid eating, smoking, and all physical activity for at least 10 minutes before you take a reading, for a more accurate read. Find a comfortable place to sit and relax.

Fit the blood pressure cuff around your wrist. The control panel should be on the inside of your wrist. There should be about a finger's width between the cuff and your hand.

Secure the cuff snugly around your wrist using the Velcro strap. It should be snug, but not overly tight.

Rest your arm on a table or other flat surface with your palm facing up. You want the cuff to be resting at the same level of your heart, so use a cushion if necessary.

Complete any preliminary selections as required by your monitor. For example, if your blood pressure monitor is designed to track multiple users, select the user to track your readings.

Take your blood pressure reading. This will be done via either a, "Go" button or a, "Start" button.

Remain still and relaxed as the cuff inflates. Any movement at this point will cause your blood pressure to rise, skewing the reading. When it is finished, the cuff will deflate and your blood pressure will be displayed on the control panel.

Record your reading in the blood pressure monitor's memory if you are tracking your blood pressure levels over time. The exact procedure will vary, so be sure to check your manual.
