Boots upper arm blood pressure monitor comes with:

How to Use

Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Place your left arm on a table so the cuff is level with your heart.

Important! Please ensure that the cuff is level with your heart, with any difference in height being adjusted by placing a cushion under the elbow.

This is to ensure that you do not obtain reading that is either too low(if measurement is taken above the heart level) or too high (if measurement is taken below the heart level).

When you are ready, press the O/I START button once. All symbols appear on the display.

The unit will automatically start to inflate slowly to measure your blood pressure. During inflation, a changing measure of the cuff pressure will be shown on the display.

Your blood pressure is measured whilst the cuff pressure is dropping, so it is important not to move or talk during the process.

Hazards and Cautions

• People with severe blood flow problems, blood disorders, should consult a doctor before using the unit, as cuff inflation can cause internal bleeding.
• Do not leave the cuff wrapped on the arm if taking measurements during the night. This could result in injury.
• Do not use a mobile phone or other devices that emit electromagnetic fields, near the unit. This may result in incorrect operation of the unit.
• If the cuff is over inflated, it can cause bruising.
• Consult your doctor prior to using in pregnancy or if diagnosed with arrhythmia or arteriosclerosis.
