Omron M6 Comfort review
This is an excellent machine in almost all respects and lives up to its description. I wish I'd done my research properly though, because it isn't ideal for multi-users. The memory holds readings for only one person. Fair enough, my mistake, so I'm not blaming the machine, surprised though I am (even my cheapo Lidl monitor lets me store readings for four different people).
What I've deducted a star for is its failure to let me choose whether or not to store readings in memory. All readings are automatically stored. Since two of us use it, it averages both our readings, making it impossible to know whether past readings were for me or my partner and the average meaningless.
I'm going to return it and choose an alternative.
UPDATE
It wasn't my mistake, after all! I felt sure I'd seen somewhere that this was suitable for multiple users, and I was right. If you look at the comparison chart linked to in the product description, it clearly states the M6 Comfort has a "two-user function". That is true in other parts of the world but not in the UK.
The M6 Comfort sold elsewhere has a user selector slider to the left of the Start button but, if you look at the picture here, it's absent from the UK version. (By the time you read this, Amazon may have fixed the chart). If you google it, you'll find different pictures and different instructions from those available in the UK. Why on earth Omron saw fit to give the two versions identical names is beyond me; or why indeed they saw fit not to provide the "two-user function" in the UK. I've deducted another star because of this.
